TracTuff H22 Billet Water Neck w/ Swirl Tank
H22/H23(VTEC) and F20B engine owners, here is my first entry for swirl tanks, I dont plan on reproducing this specific combo but the overall shape will be consistent with a production version. Basically... the notched tube ends wont have as much "wrap". The wrap and close proximity of the inlet/ outlet makes it very difficult to weld and I cannot drop the tank down any further due to starter and transmission clearance issues. Take a look at some of the other applications to get an idea of what I mean when I say less wrap.
The swirl tank starts with a billet flange that incorporates an OEM exit angle and o-ring grove. The tank placement clears the distributor and the outlet can exit straight forward, passenger headlight, or passenger fender. If you choose to use a standard hose, I believe you can trim the molded hose to work if you request that I clock the outlet as close to the OEM angle as possible.
The domestic cap bung has a 1/8" NPT port and the import version has a 1/16" NPT for connection to an overflow. The domestic version uses any early model (late 70's Chevy C10 Pickup w/ 454) cap and the import version uses early model Honda (88'-91' Civic/ CRX and 90'-93' Integra) cap.
NOTE: Made to Order - Contact for ETA - If you are interested in a specific design that varies from this, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If using AN lines we also recommend designing the upper radiator hose so that there is droop/ give so the engines movement and does not push/ pull on the radiator and fatigue any parts. The tank is welded so that it sits level when bolted to an engine with a 10.5° lean backwards (intake side).
