Description

TracTuff application-specific radiators are premium, built-to-order solutions for the most demanding environments. Radiators are made to order… so you can create exactly what you want from a wide list of options.

All PWR cores can be configured as single-, double-, or triple-pass, but it’s important to remember that these are all horizontal/cross-flow designs, so the inlet and outlet are on opposite sides for both single- and triple-pass. Double pass is the only configuration that places the inlet and outlet on the same side.

Pricing reflects a 42mm rolled and dimpled tube. When comparing this with other products out there… don’t get hung up on the number of “rows”! This 42mm core rocks a single massive 42mm tube, which is the full thickness of the core, and that leads to efficiency you can’t get from similarly sized multi-row cores. You see, good marketing from cheap brands has brainwashed consumers into thinking more is better, when in reality, having two or three rows in the same 42mm space makes them LESS EFFICIENT due to the dead space between each of the rows. I’ve personally cut up a popular brand’s radiator only to see that the tubes that carry the water have a 4mm gap between the two rows; that’s 4mm over 24″ length x 43 tubes (on the EK/ DC2 core) are not carrying water! Not to mention not even coming into contact with fins and not dissipating heat.

  1. The larger single tube holds more fluid than an equally sized 42mm core w/ multiple tubes.
  2. The continuous width of the 42mm tube allows more fins to contact the tubes.
  3. The increased fin contact increases efficiency by pulling more heat from each of the tubes as air passes.
  4. The optimized louver pattern and design of the C&R/ PWR fin pack have been proven to outperform standard automotive designs and incorporate a folded leading edge for increased durability.

NOTE: Radiator cap bungs can be added to either side. If you are not adding a radiator cap bung to the design… I highly recommend adding a vent to bleed trapped air. The drain can be placed on either side, but I recommend placing it on the opposite side of the outlet to reduce crowding. Accessory bungs are reserved for items such as pressure sensors, temperature sensors, turbo feed, oil cooler feed, or a fan switch.

Applications with front core support braces/hood latch assemblies must be cut out to fully tuck the radiator under the upper core support. All radiators are designed to maximize available space for the best combination of static airflow while the vehicle is in motion, as well as the highest possible flow when the fan is on. Some traction bars screw with mounting, and I cannot accommodate the various traction bar design differences without having your traction bar present. You can either ship the traction bar, or I can leave the lower mounting to you.
