Description

So you own an EG, EK, or DC2 and you’ve swapped in a J Series… almost everything is right where you want it! Everything except for that MONSTROSITY of a water neck staring back at you.

The J Series billet water neck flanges were designed to be the premier water neck solution on the market. The flanges can be used as is or used to fabricate pretty much anything you can dream up. The combo shown is one of two versions of swirl tanks available. Both tank inlets enter in a clockwise direction, placing the tank forward of the front cylinders outlet, and exit in the same direction. The second version has all connections meeting the tank in a counterclockwise direction, resulting in the tank being on the backside of the front cylinder’s outlet. The second version sits closer to the water pump inlet, intake manifold, and limits outlet orientation to 3 and 4 o’clock positions.

Options are abundant, but if you don’t see something specific… email me. I can add an ECT bung pretty much anywhere you want, a traditional hose barb connection for a heater core, and/ or accessory ports for aftermarket gauges. The product pictured also has a Wiggins clamp that allows the product to fit engines that have had material removed from the block and/ or cylinder head(s). This is necessary because the cylinder heads move inward on V motors, and that changes the location of the bolts that hold the water necks!

NOTE: If you are interested in a specific design that varies from this, please email us at sales@tractuff.com. The cap bung has a 1/16″ NPT port for connection to an overflow and uses early model Honda radiator caps, such as an 88′-91′ Civic/ CRX or 90′-93′ Integra. If you are using AN line, I recommend designing the upper radiator hose so that there is droop/ give… so the engine’s movement does not push/ pull on the radiator and fatigue any parts. Flanges have undergone a design change that allows them to be used with the popular J2K adapter kit, as well as a few GM transmissions that previously did not work. The water cross-over tube mount is unfortunately to low to work with scatter shields.

Accessory Notes:

ECT Sensor Bung – Can be located in the tube coming from the rear cylinder head to the tank or in the actual tank. I suggest the tank so you get a blended temp for both cylinder heads.

Heater Core Connection – Can be located in the tube coming from the rear cylinder head to the tank (in the bend, but facing the firewall).

Thermostat Water Bypass Connection – Only used on systems that are going to incorporate a thermostat. The purchase of an inline thermostat will be required.
