This -16 ORB Bung is the coolest inlet/ outlet I have ever made! The concept came about after deliberating how I could reduce the number of options on swirl pots, hoping to eventually standardize the connection choice, so that when I start working towards stocking some configurations… I don’t need to worry about which connection type gets put on the shelf. One part will now accommodate standard hose, -16 male flare, -20 male flare, -16 Wiggins/ Hydraflow, and the new -16 Dyme fittings.

What I love about this product is the material thickness, ease of welding, and billet look!

NOTE: You can purchase this product as an “upgrade” for most of my swirl pots, if the option isn’t already listed on that swirl pot, as well as a stand-alone part if you’d like to weld it yourself. DIY products do not qualify for “upgrade” pricing. If you will be welding this… I’d like to share my experience welding what’s shown above. I don’t know if I put too much heat into it initially (started with the thicker part), but after it was done, I lubricated the threads well and screwed in a port fitting, and it didn’t go in but half a turn. I unscrewed the port fitting, inspected both threads (all looked good), so I added more lube to both parts and reattempted. I was able to work the fitting in slowly… but it ultimately it wouldn’t go in any further and I didn’t want to ruin the part. So I removed the fitting and chased the threads with my 1-5/16″-12 tap and all was good!

Threads are checked prior to welding and all was smooth as butter! So I strongly recommend having a tap on deck. I do not offer any kind of warranty on DIY parts and you agree to accept all risk and responsibility by purchasing this product.
