In February of 2025, I was presented with a scenario that required a significantly stronger product than what the RWD v1 was capable of. In the end… the EXTREME variant is the final boss. The body has been upgraded from a .063″ thin-wall tube to a .125″ heavy-wall tube. Due to my billet lids and bases being machined for the larger ID of the .063″ thin wall stuff… it requires me to manually machine both the lid and the base to fit the smaller ID of the .125″ heavy wall material. This change adds cost (material and labor), but it produces a significantly stronger finished product, which I HIGHLY recommend for max-effort race cars, endurance cars, and off-road vehicles.
Something new for all you Rear Wheel Drive k swappers!! This swirl tank takes advantage of wasted space and offers a premier solution for bleeding the cooling system… which would otherwise be a real project.
This swirl pot begins with a beautifully machined US-milled 6061-T6 flange that incorporates a 1/2″ NPT heater outlet port and has been machined for o-rings on the sealing side. The outlet can be clocked to suit your needs, and you can choose either standard hose (1.25″ OD) or -16 male flare connections.
The hardware kit includes four M8 socket head bolts, a 90° heater hose fitting, a 1/2″ NPT heater port plug, and a pair of o-rings.
NOTE: The tank is welded so that it sits level when bolted to an engine leaned back 15° (exhaust side). If you have chosen to ship your manifold in, understand that return shipping of the manifold is NOT included in the price shown. Return shipping will be calculated and collected when it is ready to ship back.
Due to the large differences in each of the intake manifolds listed, the finished product may differ from the image shown.
The KMiata manifold spec swirl pot has been redesigned to eliminate the need to have the manifold shipped in. You will, however, need to have the included mounting lug welded to your manifold on your own. If you cannot find someone, you can ship your manifold in, and I will do it free of charge.
The S2000 manifold spec swirl pot uses an existing mounting point on the manifold, but due to variations in the S2000 manifold to k series cylinder head adapters, you must communicate the adapter’s thickness as well as any combination of gaskets being used, to ensure the bracket lines up properly.
