Description
The TracTuff M20 x 1.0 to male flare is used to plumb several accessories using the port commonly found on Honda cylinder heads.
The M20 x 1.0 thread is common on a number of cylinder heads… You can use this on the right rear corner of the k series PRB/ PRC/ PPA/ and PPL cylinder heads, under the VTEC Spool Valve on VTEC B and H cylinder heads, under the distributor on SOHC D, SOHC F, and non-VTEC B cylinder heads.
NOTE: The M20 x 1.0 thread does not seal on its own; just like the OEM fitting, I recommend Loctite 5452 as a fast-cure thread sealant or Loctite 561 if you have 24 hrs. to cure. Loctite 561 may be more readily available, but it is my last recommendation. All must be applied thoroughly into the threads.
Please DO NOT inquire about a CNC-machined -16 male flare variant. I’m not interested… -16 does not make sense due to the mismatch in inside diameters. -16 has an ID that hovers around .8400” on average (different manufacturers do different shit), whereas an M20 fitting with a sturdy wall has an ID that hovers around .5750”. The .265″ (essentially a 1/4″) restriction doesn’t make any sense, and you might as well go -12, which is a much closer match at an ID of around .6000″). So just change the fitting on the other end and save some money.
Alternatively, I can order a -16 hose end with a -12 nut that will screw onto this fitting, OR a -12 hose end with a -16 nut for the other end… allowing a -12 hose (the smarter of the two choices). If I order this fitting… you can either pay for dedicated shipping or wait for me to place a stocking order with XRP.
