The TracTuff XL RACE Oil Filter Adapter was designed specifically for Honda/ Acura engines. The mission… to increase the oil filter’s mounting surface so max-effort race cars can run the larger race style filters that traditionally would not fit.

RACE oil filters have been around forever… we just haven’t needed them until more recently, and unfortunately, they don’t fit. Most, if not all, have an SAE thread, and ALL of the desirable ones require way more surface area for the gasket to seat. These filters offer higher flow rates, a wider range of micron ratings, and significantly increased surface area!

The adapter also has two clean oil accessory ports, which can be rotated to point in a direction that makes the most sense for your application. I want to reiterate that both the 1/8″ NPT and 3/8″ NPT ports provide CLEAN OIL to an accessory of your choice. Clean oil passages are not common on adapters, sandwich plates, filter take-offs, and remote oil filter mounts. I went the extra mile to make this happen.

The CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum body measures in at 1.290″ tall and has a 2.50″ (63.5mm) block-side o-ring, which allows it to be mounted to all the popular Honda/ Acura blocks and any other block that has a similar oil filter mounting pad and an M22 x 1.50 female thread in the block. You can choose from TONS of high-quality oil filter options that use a 13/16″-16 thread, like the WIX 51069 or 51069R filter, or any filter that has a gasket that falls inside the 2.875″ (ID) to 3.50″ (OD).

The hardware kit includes an overbuilt billet stainless steel M22 x 1.50 to 13/16″-16 banjo style mounting bolt (tq to 49 lb. ft.), a 1/8″ NPT and 3/8″ NPT plug, a 28.5mm (OD) x 22.5mm (ID) x 3mm and dash 119 o-ring for the mounting bolt, and a dash 228 o-ring for the adapter.

NOTE: I consider this a DRAG RACE ONLY product as it really has no place on a street car, but if you’re insistent on running a larger filter on the street or in a road race environment… I STRONGLY recommend using my XL Remote Oil Filter Mount.

On factory oil cooler-equipped Honda motors, simply remove the large bolt that holds the OEM oil cooler in place, disconnect, and plug the two coolant lines, and you’re done! The block will have a larger thread than the oil filter did. If this is a K… I offer a simple solution to eliminate the coolant lines. Non oil cooler equipped motors just need the oil filter mounting stud removed and the block will have a larger thread than the oil filter did.
