1.5 Qt. Oil Accumulator Kit

Moroso's Accumulator connects to the pressure side of an engine's oiling system, the running engine oil pressure forces reserve oil into the accumulator, compressing the air bladder inside the cylinder, where it waits to be used. The air pressure trapped inside the cylinder immediately sends oil to the main galleries in the event of a sudden drop in oil pressure. When danger passes and the pump is once again producing pressure, spent oil is forced oil back into the Accumulator to prepare for the next emergency. 

We like the additional function of using the accumulator to manually pre-lube the engine before start-up. Pre-lubing an engine greatly reduces cold-start scuffing and premature bearing wear.
