TracTuff XL Oil Filter Adapter

$199.95

The TracTuff XL Oil Filter Adapter is a universal product designed to increase the oil filters mounting surface so you can run an XL race oil filter.

XL racing oil filters have been around for a long time, we just haven't been able to run them due to the small oil filter mounting surface found on import engines. These larger higher flowing oil filters offer a few things that the OEM oil filters simply cannot. Most notably... an increase in surface area which is directly tied to its size, an increase in contaminate load handling, and improved oil flow rates.

Race oil filters typically include the following features:

  • High Flow Rate Options and Micron Rating Options
  • Non-Bypass and Bypass Options
  • Increased Oil Pressure Handling Capability
  • Increased Surface Area

The adapter also has two clean oil accessory ports which can be rotated to point in whichever direction makes most sense for your application. I want to reiterate that both the 1/8" NPT and 3/8" NPT ports provide CLEAN OIL to an accessory of your choice. Clean oil passages are not common on adapters, sandwich plates, filter take-offs, and remote oil filter mounts.

The CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum body measures in at 1.290" tall and has a 2.50" (63.5mm) block-side o-ring which allows it to be mounted to any block that has an M22 x 1.50 female thread and a minimum of a 2.50"diameter mounting pad (pretty much describes all popular Honda engines). You can choose from TONS of quality oil filter options that use a 13/16"-16 thread, like the WIX 51069 or 51069R filter or any filter that has a gasket that falls inside the 2.875" (ID) to 3.50" (OD).

The hardware kit includes an overbuilt billet stainless steel M22 x 1.50 to 13/16"-16 banjo style mounting bolt (tq to 49 lb. ft.), 1/8" NPT and 3/8" NPT plug, a 28.5mm (OD) x 22.5mm (ID) x 3mm and dash 119 o-ring for the mounting bolt (disregard the o-ring sizing in the video) and a dash 228 o-ring for the adapter. NOTE: If you are concerned with the load being put on the blocks thread... I strongly recommend that you select the shortest filter possible that meets you filtration or flow goals. If you cannot find a short filter that meets your goals, consider my remote oil filter mounts.

On factory oil cooler equipped Honda motors, simply remove the large bolt that holds the OEM oil cooler in place, disconnect, and plug the two coolant lines and your done! The block will have a larger thread than the oil filter did. If this is a K... I offer a simple solution to eliminate the coolant lines. Non oil cooler equipped motors just need the oil filter mounting stud removed and the block will have a larger thread than the oil filter did.
