TracTuff J Series Flipped Exit Water Neck

$459.95

The J Series engine has been finding its way into several Rear Wheel Drive, mid-engine, and rear-engine swaps, and the latter of those three required the cooling system hoses to be routed in an around-about way, so I took the Through Valley Exit water neck and I flipped the exit 180°.

The two-bolt flange had to be taller than the four-bolt flange for the two to line up; a common theme with V motors due to the offset cylinder heads. Further complicating things, the flanges both had to have raised offset water passages so that the flanges would clear block casting features. Redesigning the camshaft thrust cover allowed the combo to work within a space of just over two inches (2.10" to be exact)!

The four bolt flange uses an OEM gasket (Not Included) to seal, incorporates an early M12 x 1.5 J Series ECT sensor port, a 1/8" NPT accessory port, and a -16 ORB outlet port that comes plugged, but you can use this as another outlet depending on your configuration goals. The two-bolt flange uses an o-ring (included) to seal against the cylinder head and incorporates a -8 ORB heater outlet port. You have the option of a -8 ORB to 11/16" hose fitting or -8 ORB plug. You have the choice of adding a -10 male flare accessory bung to feed hot water to the thermostat water bypass port if you plan on running an inline thermostat.

NOTE: Made to Order - Contact for ETA - If you are interested in a specific design that varies from this, please email us at sales@tractuff.com. These unique flanges do not include or incorporate a thermostat, nor do they have any means of holding the OEM water pump inlet tube that sits in the valley, like the V1 flanges do. You will need to run my inline thermostat and J Series Water Pump Inlet, or come up with your own solution.

The flange was not designed with a fan switch port; it's technically not the correct location for it, but a couple of customers have insisted on one being added, so I have made it a non-mandatory option above.
