TracTuff RBB/RBC Swirl Pot - V5

$421.95

V5 is the third sidewinder turbo-friendly version of the popular RBC/ RBB/ RRC swirl pot. But just because it was made for a turbo motor... doesn't mean it won't work equally well for a naturally aspirated engine. It's all just a space thing.

As the industry has grown, new companies have come out with manifolds with more exaggerated turbo placement and turbos getting bigger, it's no longer a one-size-fits-all scenario. I now offer 6 variants of FWD swirl pots in total. V5 is essentially a copy of V4 but uses a bent tube rather than a straight one to join the swirl pot to the flange, kicking the swirl pot out to the right and improving fitment with a side-entry intake manifold and throttle body.

My swirl pots start with a billet flange that has been CNC machined in the USA using US-milled and certified 6061-T6 aluminum. The flange started life with a -16 ORB outlet port that has been opened up slightly to receive the 1.25" transfer tube that connects it to the swirl pot. The flange also has a 1/2" NPT heater out port.

The hardware kit includes four M8 socket head bolts, a 90° heater hose fitting, a 1/2" NPT plug, an EGR passage plug, and a pair of o-rings. The swirl pot is welded so it sits level when bolted to an engine leaned back 15° (OEM option) or leaned forward 8° (Gangster Lean engine mount option).

NOTE: Made to Order - Contact for ETA - If you are interested in a specific design that varies from this, please email us at sales@tractuff.com.

The OEM wire harness and heater hard line will not work with this product. The bulk of the wire harness must be reduced or moved, and the heater hard pipe needs to be cut or replaced by my Thermostat Housing Port Adapter. The cap bung has a 1/16" NPT port for connection to an overflow and uses early-model Honda radiator caps, such as those found on an 88'-91' Civic/ CRX or 90'-93' Integra. If you are using AN lines, I recommend designing the upper radiator hose so there is droop/ give... so the engine's movement does not push/ pull on the radiator and fatigue any parts.
