TracTuff R40 Swirl Pot - V1
Update: On 2/9/24 I introduced a new dedicated flange (4th I have produced) that will be used to fabricate swirl pots, fill pots, and filler necks. I looks very similar to the flange shown, but now has an ECT sensor port machined into the flange. I will update the images as time permits.
The outlet itself can be configured for standard hose (1.25" OD) or -16 male flare and you can choose to have an accessory bung and/ or heater outlet bung added to any open space on the tank. The "Close to OEM" outlet position will allow the original hose to be used with minimal modification.
The hardware kit includes three M8 stainless steel socket head bolts and a Genuine Honda gasket. The swirl pot is welded so that it sits level when bolted to an engine leaned back 15° (OEM position).
Space between the swirl pot and the flange make the two forward most mounting bolts a challenge to get to without the right tools. If you don't already own one, you may want to add a 6mm Stubby L-Key.
NOTE: Made to Order - Contact for ETA - If you are interested in a specific design that varies from this, please email us at sales@tractuff.com. The modification made to the flange meant the removal of the ECT and heater outlet ports. The ECT port is essential to the function of the ECU and has been added but the heater port is not and will be left as an option. If you would like to retain in cabin heat, I can weld a female -8 ORB bung for use with my custom 11/16" fitting, a -10 male flare bung, or an 11/16” male slip hose bung to the back of the swirl pot for an additional $30
The cap bung has a 1/16" NPT port for connection to an overflow and uses early model Honda radiator caps; such as an 88'-91' Civic/ CRX or 90'-93' Integra. If you are using AN lines, I recommend designing the upper radiator hose so that there is droop/ give... so the engines movement and does not push/ pull on the radiator and fatigue any parts.
